A full slab is not always necessary for a bathroom vanity, laundry room, bar, or another smaller project. Countertop remnants give you access to quality stone and quartz materials without purchasing more material than your project requires.
Mirage Marble & Granite offers free countertop remnants at our fabrication yard in Peoria. Only pay for fabrication and install. Our available selection may include granite, quartz, quartzite, marble, and other materials left from larger fabrication projects.
Because every remnant has a different size, color, and pattern, availability changes regularly. Visit our yard to explore the current selection and find out whether one of our remnants will work for your project.

A countertop remnant is a usable portion of a slab left after another countertop project has been cut and fabricated.
For example, a full slab may be used to create kitchen countertops, but a smaller section may remain. That section may not be large enough for another full kitchen, but it could be the right size for a bathroom vanity or another compact surface.
Choosing a remnant can help you avoid purchasing a full slab for a project that only requires a small amount of material. However, the piece must still be large enough to account for the finished dimensions, sink cutouts, edge work, veining, and other fabrication requirements.
Our team can review your measurements and help determine whether a particular remnant is suitable for your project.
Countertop remnants are especially useful for smaller projects, including:
Our remnant inventory changes as new projects are fabricated. Depending on current availability, customers may find several types of countertop materials.
Granite is a durable natural stone available in many colors and patterns. A granite remnant can be a good choice for bathroom vanities, laundry rooms, bars, fireplace details, and other custom projects.

Quartz offers a consistent appearance and a wide selection of colors and patterns. It is commonly used for bathroom vanities, desks, bars, and laundry room counters.
Visit our quartz countertops page for additional information.
Quartzite and marble remnants may also be available. Both are natural stones, but they have different maintenance needs and performance characteristics.
Our team can explain the differences and help you decide whether quartzite or marble is appropriate for your project.
If you need a specific material, color, or approximate size, contact Mirage Marble & Granite before visiting. Since remnants are one-of-a-kind pieces, the available inventory can change quickly.
The countertop remnant material is free. You only pay for the fabrication and installation needed to turn the piece you select into a finished countertop.
The cost of that work depends on your project’s dimensions and details, such as the edge profile, sink or faucet cutouts, and any backsplash pieces. Mirage Marble & Granite will review your project and provide an estimate before work begins.
